What if we told you that Myki could log you into any account on your computer? Even the ones outside your web browser.
When we introduced the Myki desktop app last year, our goal was to make it easier for you to log into your online accounts on your computer, without needing to constantly switch over to your phone to verify your own login request on the Myki mobile app.
By communicating directly with the Myki browser extension, the desktop app automatically verifies all your login requests and makes logging into accounts from your computer even smoother than it was before.
But as we all know, accounts aren’t exclusively accessed through the browser. Whether it’s Slack or Spotify, many popular services have dedicated desktop apps which a lot of us prefer to use over their online browser-based versions.
This is where Myki Mini comes in. Myki Mini is a new feature of the Myki desktop app, which makes it possible to autofill credentials for accounts outside your web browser.
To use Myki Mini, all you need to do is:
- Select the field you’d like to have autofilled
- Activate Myki Mini by holding down SHIFT + CTRL + ‘ for Windows or SHIFT + CMD + ‘ for Mac
- Select the stored account you’d like to log into, or the specific data you'd like to have filled in (for example, only your password without the username)
- Hit ENTER for Windows or RETURN for Mac
After Myki autofills your credentials, you just have to click the button to log in, and you're done. It’s as simple as that.
Download the Myki desktop app if you still haven’t and start taking control of your digital identity.
